From Australia to the BSB and WorldSBK, the Australian team Advocates has confirmed its plans for 2026.
The Superbike Advocates Racing Team has officially announced that it will be on the grid for the 2026 WorldSBK Championship starting from the opening round at Phillip Island. As has been the case for several years, Australia will host the season opener, and the team owned by Lee Khouri will also be on the start line.
"As an Australian team," the statement reads, "this is a dream come true after years of work. Countless hours, relentless effort, and unwavering belief have brought us onto the world stage. Now we can represent Australia against the best riders and teams on the planet. See you at Phillip Island for the debut of our factory-built Ducati Corse WSBK bikes, ridden by our Australian rider."

The Superbike Advocates Racing Team’s aim is to compete in all twelve rounds of the 2026 WorldSBK calendar, not just make a few wild card appearances. The chosen Australian rider will be announced soon. In the meantime, it’s already known that Tommy Bridewell will ride the Ducati Panigale V4 R in BSB, another championship in which the Australian team will be involved. The legendary Carl Fogarty was set to be team principal, but the deal later fell through.

Bridewell won the 2023 BSB title on a Ducati and now returns to the brand after two seasons on a Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade with the Honda Racing UK team. The 37-year-old British rider has also made appearances in WorldSBK, and it’s not ruled out that he could do so again in 2026.
The Superbike Advocates Racing Team had been in contact with Andrea Iannone about racing together in the championship. After parting ways with the Pata Go Eleven team, the Italian rider is still without a seat for 2026.
