Marcos Ramirez in Supersport con QJ Motor
In World Supersport it’s practically become a Moto2 offshoot. More and more riders are leaving the Grand Prix paddock for WorldSSP with the hope of returning through the front door. Marcos Ramirez will join Raffaele De Rosa at QJ Motor in 2026 and will certainly aim for a starring role.
The Campania-born rider hoped to have a strong teammate, and he’s been satisfied. Marcos Ramirez is 28 years old and one of the most interesting talents in Spanish motorcycling in recent years, the protagonist of a steady growth path that took him from youth categories up to the Moto3 and Moto2 World Championships.
Marcos Ramirez built his career step by step, turning talent and passion into concrete results. After taking his first titles in MiniGP and the Andalusian 125 class championships, in 2012 he moved on to the Spanish championship and the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, immediately showing he could fight with the best. His world debut came in 2014 as a Moto3 wild card, and since then Ramírez has steadily progressed, up to his first podium in 2017 in Germany, a moment that cemented his talent.
The 2019 season was the turning point: with Leopard Racing he took his first victories and finished the championship in third place, confirming himself among the best riders of his generation.
In 2020 the move to Moto2 brought new challenges, but determination was never lacking. In 2023 came his first Moto2 podium in Malaysia, and in 2024 Ramirez ended the year with over 100 points and another podium, proving he’s a rider in constant growth. In the latest season he had a decent campaign with the American Racing Team but never made it onto the podium. The team had announced he would be retained, but then something changed and the relationship ended at the end of 2025

Now a new challenge with QJ Motor.

Marcos Ramirez is a strong and ambitious character who doesn’t give up easily. He tackles difficulties with resilience and has a strong professional ethic. At the same time, he shows a genuine connection to his roots and a sincere desire to continually improve. He’s no longer a kid, but he’s eager to stand out, relaunch himself, and can make a significant contribution to the team.
