8TEN Racing BMW, for the second consecutive year, renews the trust placed in Peter Hickman and Davey Todd for the 2026 season across British Superbike and Road Races.
Continuity. For the 2026 British Superbike (and Road Races) season, the 8TEN Racing team has decided to renew the contracts of its current rider line-up, Peter Hickman and Davey Todd. After effectively revealing the activities of the FHO Racing team, which unexpectedly shut down its BSB project at the beginning of 2025, the squad led by Darren Jones will field two M 1000 RR machines directly supported by BMW Motorrad, with big ambitions.

REDEMPTION MISSION FOR HICKMAN

Linked with the marque of the Propeller in British Superbike since 2017, defending the colors of various teams, Peter Hickman hopes to bounce back from a truly unlucky year, affected by the nasty accident he suffered on May 30 during TT practice. "I’m really happy to stay with 8TEN Racing", admits the 14-time winner on the Isle of Man. "Even though 2025 was a hectic year for various reasons, we immediately showed great potential with a solid base to build on. Unfortunately, the serious injury I picked up at the TT compromised our plans, but 8TEN Racing continued to work excellently throughout the rest of the season. I’ll give my all next year, with plenty of testing ahead to prepare for the first round. Receiving BMW support again as an official team is wonderful news for all of us".

TODD FAITHFUL TO 8TEN RACING

With Peter Hickman sidelined for a long time and only returning for the final four rounds, 8TEN Racing in 2025 relied almost exclusively on Davey Todd. The 2022 and 2024 British Superstock 1000 Champion, in his first full-time season in BSB, finished twenty-fourth in the championship with just 6 points scored. "In a season of ups and downs, 8TEN Racing did a great job", recalls Davey Todd, who increasingly established himself among the road racing elite with a triple triumph across the Tourist Trophy (with his first personal hurrà in the Superbike class), the North West 200, and the Macau Grand Prix. "The commitment in BSB was demanding, also because we couldn’t count on my teammate for most of the year. In any case, we’re working hard to be even more competitive in 2026. I’m proud of every member of 8TEN Racing. I can’t wait to get back on track".

BETWEEN BSB AND ROAD RACES

Co-owners of 8TEN Racing itself (a name derived from the combination of the two riders’ race numbers), Peter Hickman and Davey Todd will build on their recent one-two in the 57th edition of the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix with the goal of confirming themselves at the top of the major road races.
