Moto2, dramatic twist at Le Mans: Holgado disqualified for a technical infringement, the new standings

Daniel Holgado disqualified from the Moto2 French GP, standings change: the situation.

The Moto2 result at Le Mans has changed. A disqualification arrives for Daniel Holgado (CFMOTO Aspar Team) due to a technical infringement, therefore his 11th place at the restart is removed, after the team’s race against time to fix his bike damaged in the crash before the red flag. Specifically, the absence of the front fender for the entire duration of the race was noted: it is not allowed since, in the exact words, "the front fender is part of the approved aerodynamic bodywork and must always remain mounted". Holgado thus loses his GP finish and the points in the overall standings and, from 6th after the race, drops to 7th place. A real shame, there were far greater hopes after the fine 2nd place in qualifying... Here are the previous race report and standings, below are the revised standings.
