Marc Márquez doesn’t have much time for vacations. The MotoGP champion is busy racing from one engagement to another. Together with his brother Álex, he was invited to an audience with King Felipe VI of Spain in Madrid. Meanwhile, on DAZN Spain, videos and interviews about the Cervera superstar continue to air.

A Ducati at all costs...

The move from Honda to Gresini is a pivotal turning point in his career. 2024 is the year of transition from the RC-V to the Desmosedici, before the jump to the Ducati factory team. On the GP23 he rediscovered his smile and the desire to race; on the GP24, the MotoGP title. "I needed the bike that was winning at that moment, to see if I was competitive. Marc Márquez had a very clear plan. "Why the move to Gresini? Because I knew the following year the official Ducati bikes would be available." He won the head-to-head with Jorge Martín, snatching the Red machine from his hands. In his first year with the factory squad, he clinched the MotoGP World Championship, the ninth title of his career. Too bad about the injury... "After this world championship, the injury came, but I’m recovering well. I have to prioritize my recovery and keep racking up points. But it’s the first time I win a championship and feel empty."
It’s the first time he has triumphed with Ducati, after six world titles with Honda. Marc Márquez had to leave not only a family behind, starting with his trusted friend Santi Hernández. But also a record contract that may never come his way again. "The emotional aspect was what held me back the most. The financial aspect... I have enough (money) to live on; I’d have to go crazy to spend it all."
