Günther Steiner nuova team principal KTM Tech3
Günther Steiner, team principal of KTM Tech3 in MotoGP, extends a special invitation to Lando Norris. The fiery Italian entrepreneur, already a Netflix star, is the protagonist of the light-hearted pop-cast “Life of Steiner,” and it’s from there that he launches the proposal.
“Lando Norris is welcome on our bike next year. We and McLaren even share the same colors: papaya is a shade of orange—come on, they’re similar. Lando can come over and ride our bike: we’re waiting for him, we’re happy. A lot of Formula 1 drivers like MotoGP; it’s fun for them, just as racing cars is for MotoGP riders. I don’t know if McLaren boss Zak Brown would be very happy to see him on a bike, but: ‘Lando, I’m inviting you! You’re welcome on our bike, we’ll be waiting for you to drop by sometime next year.’”
Lando Norris has always been a huge MotoGP enthusiast and is certainly attracted by the idea of getting on the KTM Tech3, even just for a test or a few demonstration laps.
Günther Steiner, known for his straightforward character and for leading Haas in Formula 1, will bring his experience in managing top-level teams to MotoGP as well. His statement underscores the informal and welcoming tone with which he wants to bring F1 drivers closer to the two-wheeled world, building bridges between different disciplines. The reference to McLaren’s papaya colors, similar to those of KTM, is a playful touch that connects the two realities and makes the invitation more personal.
If Lando Norris decides to accept, he could enjoy a unique experience, blending the speed of two-wheeled racing with the familiar colors of his McLaren single-seater.
This invitation has already sparked the imagination, suggesting a future in which Formula 1 stars might take on MotoGP bikes, if only for the thrill of sharing the adrenaline and passion for speed.
