Enzo Badenas, a 17-year-old motocross prospect, has passed away following a very serious training accident.
Motorcycling is a risky sport, in any discipline, and sadly tragedies are not uncommon. Enzo Badenas is among them: a 17-year-old motocross rider from Gandia (he would have turned 18 on January 24), he was the victim of a very serious accident on December 7 during a private training session. A particularly interesting and promising young talent in the motocross world: in 2022 he won the Spanish title in the 85cc class, and in his young career he was selected by the Spanish Motocross National Team. He competed in regional, national, and international championships, such as the European Championship.
There have been countless messages of condolence, especially from various Spanish riders who had the chance to know and appreciate Badenas. We recall, for example, the message from CETDM, the Specialized Center at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, of which the young motocrosser had been a part since 2023, right after the aforementioned title. “We express our regret for the passing of Enzo Badenas,” reads the official note. “We are devastated; the entire staff of CETDM and the Circuit wishes to express its condolences, affection, and strength to Enzo’s family, colleagues, friends, and loved ones in this difficult time.”
The world-level Motocross community could not remain indifferent to such a tragedy involving one of “its” own. “Infront Moto Racing is saddened by the passing of Enzo Badenas, a 17-year-old talent from Valencia, who lost his life in a tragic training accident. He had a long and promising career ahead of him and was admired for his dedication and passion for the sport. The entire MXGP family sends its condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Enzo.”
