Arai
TT are simply two letters of the alphabet. But for us enthusiasts, they are the symbol of the most legendary race there is. Arai has created a special helmet for the 2026 edition. Here's what it's like.
For some years now, the queen of road races has been not only risk, passion, and legend pushed to the limits of the impossible, but also an increasingly coveted marketing platform for major players in international motorsport. Arai, a Japanese helmet brand active for over 50 years, is closely tied to the TT. As the Official Helmet Partner, Arai has just unveiled a special helmet dedicated to the 106th edition.

A long tradition

For the Japanese manufacturer, it’s a renewed tradition, as this newly presented helmet is the 17th special edition dedicated to the TT. But this is the most special of all, starting with the model: the futuristic RX-7V EVO, the top product in the range.

A sleek, penetrating line

The iconic shape of the Arai shell is inspired by the egg, one of the strongest shapes in nature, and its enduring protective capabilities have led Arai to create shells that are rounder, stronger, and smoother. Arai is constantly committed to minimizing the impact energy that penetrates a helmet and, in its relentless pursuit of improved protection, has developed the R75 shell that has protected so many riders and athletes around the world.

An artist’s design

The livery of this special TT helmet is created by Aldo Drudi, a designer and artist from Romagna and a long-time Arai collaborator. The mix of colors and lines is enhanced by the iconic TT logo prominently displayed on both sides of the helmet. On the back, Drudi has stylized the silhouette of the legendary Mountain Course, the 60.6-kilometer track that is the most dangerous, fastest, and most adrenaline-fueled on the planet.

Limited series

The Arai helmet dedicated to the TT will be released next May, on the eve of the event. It will be produced in a limited series, and to try to get one, it will initially be necessary to go directly to the Isle of Man. A demanding trip, but one that’s worth the effort.
