Southeast Asia is expanding its presence on the global motorsport facilities scene. Tilke Engineers are working on the construction of the new Pradera Verde circuit in Lubao, Pampanga province.
The project, originally conceived in 2018, has been thoroughly revised to align with a more modern and sustainable vision. The result is a more compact facility that is at the same time extremely functional.
The new racetrack spans an area of 42 hectares and is designed to combine spectacle with accessibility. The goal is clear: to create a venue capable not only of hosting competitions, but also of becoming a permanent hub for motorsport tourism in Southeast Asia.
At the heart of the project is a 4.8-kilometer layout with 17 turns, personally signed off by Tilke. The track has been designed to offer a smooth yet technically demanding driving experience, with solutions that allow for different configurations and, most importantly, the ability to split the circuit into two independent sections. This choice greatly increases operational flexibility, enabling the hosting of different events simultaneously, from races to tests and club activities.
Around the track, a true motorsport ecosystem will take shape. The project includes a drag racing area, an iconic V-shaped main building with 44 garages, and a series of luxury villas overlooking the circuit, designed to offer an exclusive experience to teams and enthusiasts. The complex will also feature a karting track compliant with CIK-FIA standards, perfect for nurturing young talent. Along the road adjacent to the facility, a commercial area will be developed with dealerships, restaurants, and services to ensure activity throughout the year.
More than just a racetrack, Pradera Verde is therefore presented as a strategic project, capable of uniting sport, business, and regional development. The Philippines could thus carve out a significant place in the Asian
motorsport landscape.
