Triumphant Marco Bezzecchi at the Valencia GP, Aprilia one-two with Raul Fernandez, chaos behind them... Race report and standings from the grand finale of the 2025 season.
A doubly majestic Aprilia in the final round of this MotoGP World Championship. Marco Bezzecchi leads from the start and gives nothing away, delivering an almost perfect race and taking a well-deserved victory. But right behind him is Raul Fernandez, just back from a physical issue, who turns in a superb race to secure a brilliant second place. Fabio Di Giannantonio takes the third step of the podium, while his teammate blunders at the start; Bagnaia is out thanks to Zarco... And Jorge Martin retires as a precaution to save energy for Tuesday’s test. Here’s how the Valencia GP played out.

MotoGP Race

Double Long Lap for Martin due to the Motegi incident, a single Long Lap for Mir for yesterday’s crash. Before the start, however, there’s an incredible blunder: Morbidelli makes an astonishing mistake at the end of the warm-up lap, when he needs to line up on the grid, and crashes! The VR46 rider is then moved and starts from the pit lane: it doesn’t last long, the Italian soon returns to the garage and ends both his GP and his season. Disaster also strikes Bagnaia: Zarco makes a serious error and “pushes” him into the gravel, leading to a crash and retirement. A terrible ending to a 2025 to forget... Meanwhile, the LCR rider receives a Long Lap penalty. Up front, Bezzecchi, this time without any issues from the ride-height device, launches perfectly and takes the lead, with Alex Marquez following.
Keep an eye on Raul Fernandez too, who pips Acosta for third. But it doesn’t end there: little by little, the Trackhouse Aprilia rider keeps climbing, sensing another big opportunity... It’s not enough to reel in a rampant Bezzecchi, who takes a more than deserved triumph, but it’s more than enough to secure an incredible one-two for the Veneto manufacturer. We’ve got everything in this GP: another close call between Miller and Aldeguer, Di Giannantonio eyeing the podium and taking it, an Acosta–Marquez duel that has the KTM garage celebrating... Even if it won’t be enough for a final podium. In the end, Ogura, Jorge Martin (as a precaution), Quartararo, Vinales and Aleix Espargaro retire, with the latter already starting on a damaged bike due to Morbidelli’s contact on the grid.
