He finished third in the 2025 MXGP Motocross World Championship, earning several podiums and the first race win for Fantic in the world series. This wasn’t enough for
Glenn Coldenhoff to secure a factory bike for next year. The veteran Dutch motocrosser (34 years old, born in 1991) has announced that he will no longer compete full-time in the World Championship, but only as a distinguished part-timer.
COLDENHOFF’S 2026 IN THE MOTOCROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
“
2025 was my last full season in the MXGP World Championship,”
Glenn Coldenhoff revealed. “
However, don’t worry: I’m still riding motocross bikes, news coming soon.” In fact, “
The Hoff” confirmed that he will still contest a few races in 2026 in MXGP and, why not, even overseas.
INJURED AT THE MOTOCROSS OF NATIONS
While awaiting updates, the Oss native is continuing his recovery from a shoulder and back injury suffered in a heavy crash during the qualifying race of the Motocross of Nations. As a result of this nasty spill, he was forced to miss Sunday’s races, with the Netherlands consequently ruled out of podium contention.
GLENN COLDENHOFF’S WORLD CAREER
In his career, “The Hoff” has won 6 Grands Prix (5 in MXGP, 1 in MX2), racing as a factory rider for Suzuki, KTM, GASGAS, Yamaha, and Fantic. His best championship result remains third place in 2019 (then with Standing Construct KTM) and, indeed, in 2025 (Fantic Factory Racing MXGP). On the first occasion, he also achieved a memorable victory at the Nations, an event where, representing the orange, he claimed 5 more podiums: 2nd in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2021, and 3rd in 2024. For GC259, his most recent Grand Prix win remains the 2022 Finnish GP at Hyvinkää with Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing, before moving to Fantic where, over the last two years, he delivered the Italian company’s first significant results in the world championship on knobby tires.
