The airbag is a fundamental safety device: professional riders know it well, and for them its use has now become essential.
The challenge that In&motion, the world leader in intelligent airbag systems for motorcyclist protection, is taking on is fascinating: top-level protection, until now reserved for an elite, can become democratic—that is, within reach of everyday riders.
Track Module
In&motion is unveiling
a preview at EICMA of the brand-new Track Module, an airbag system designed specifically for track use. The goal: to make the same protection technology used in MotoGP available to all riders.
"With the Track Module, we offer track enthusiasts the same technology used by professional MotoGP riders, but adapted for everyday use," says Rémi Thomas, CEO of the dynamic French company.
"Our aim is to make high-level safety accessible to everyone while ensuring maximum comfort and freedom of movement."Key updates
In&motion has further developed its devices, achieving key goals:
- Durability and reliability: the airbag can deploy up to 12 times before requiring maintenance.
- Optimized comfort: the detection unit (In&box) and inflators are now integrated directly into the aerodynamic hump, improving ergonomics and freedom of movement.
- Consecutive dual-deployment system: two successive inflations without manual intervention.
- Patented manual and/or automatic deflation system, unique on the market.
This new system will be integrated into an RST racing suit and will be used by several RST riders competing at the Tourist Trophy.
Landing in Italy
In&motion arrived in Italy last year, expanding its operations across Europe, the United States, and Japan. In&motion technology equips over fifty products from twelve partner brands, including Furygan, Ixon, Klim, RST, iXS, Tucano Urbano, and Held. Among the most active partners is Honda, which is preparing to launch in Europe the airbag vest previewed in France last year, integrating In&motion technology into its technical garments dedicated to road safety. In&motion operates as a true ingredient brand: an invisible yet essential technology that enhances the garments developed by leading international manufacturers.
In&motion and a booming market
Today, more than 120,000 riders worldwide are protected every day by In&motion systems. They can analyze thousands of data points in real time thanks to the In&box, the “brain” of the airbag, capable of detecting a fall and activating protection in less than 60 milliseconds. The French company’s devices have been developed in MotoGP for about a decade: this year Johann Zarco triumphed at the French GP in Le Mans using an In&motion airbag. In other sports, such as skiing and horse riding, this type of protection is increasingly used. In motorcycling, beyond the top class, airbags are also gaining ground in Enduro and Rally Raid.
A dynamic laboratory
"The world of racing is an open-air laboratory for us," explains Dorian Rainaud, Racing Manager at In&motion. "Our technology is put to the test by athletes who constantly push the limits of what’s possible. Every crash helps us refine our algorithms and make our systems even more effective."
In&motion at EICMA 2025
Throughout the Milan show, which ends on Sunday, November 9, it will be possible to discover products equipped with In&motion technology at partner brand booths, including Honda, iXS, Klim, Furygan, Held, Tucano Urbano, and RST. Not to mention the new offerings created in collaboration with Alike, a Wheelup brand. The latest innovations, including the new Track Module and the area dedicated to Racing Legacy, will instead be showcased directly at the In&motion booth (Hall 9, Stand C70) from November 4 to 9, 2025, where press and visitors can meet the team and experience intelligent protection up close. It will also be possible to test a selection of urban mobility vehicles while wearing Tucano Urbano garments featuring In&motion technology in the Y.U.M. (Your Urban Mobility) area in the outdoor MotoLive Arena.
