No changes regarding MotoGP TV rights in Italy: fans will continue to watch everything on Sky Sport.
Sky Sport remains the home of MotoGP in Italy through 2027, inclusive. This morning the new agreement was officially announced. The previous contract was set to expire at the end of 2025 and there had been various rumors about the possibility of the TV rights moving to another broadcaster, but in the end there will be no change.
Sky and NOW will continue to broadcast live all MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 races, with some races from all three classes also airing free-to-air on TV8.
MotoGP, Sky Sport and Dorna move forward together: renewal through 2027
Andrea Duilio, CEO of Sky Italia: "We are proud to announce this new agreement with Dorna and to continue bringing the adrenaline of two wheels into fans’ homes, with the excellence of our sports editorial coverage and the most advanced technologies. For 11 years, the World Championship has been a cornerstone of our sports channel’s extensive motorsport offering, and it will continue to be so through the end of 2027. This confirms the importance that MotoGP and all World Championship classes hold for Sky, which will continue to deliver the best possible viewing experience."
Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of
Dorna Sports, holder of MotoGP rights: "
Sky Sport is a fantastic partner for MotoGP. In 2025, MotoGP recorded an increase in average global audience, significant growth of its global fanbase, and nine attendance records—almost half the season. We aim even higher as we look to the future. Partners like Sky Sport, who showcase the best of this sport and bring fans into the heart of the action, play a key role for the future. We are very happy to see the most exciting sport in the world continue on Sky Sport for two more seasons."
