The final race day of this intense 2025 MotoGP season gets underway. The spotlight, however, is firmly on the intermediate class, the only one still without a world champion. Diogo Moreira and Manuel Gonzalez in a last showdown: who will take the world crown? In MotoGP, there are plenty of riders to watch: Alex Marquez is aiming for the double, Pedro Acosta wants that elusive first victory, Marco Bezzecchi is ready to bounce back after the momentary holeshot device lock-up that affected his Sprint start, and can Bagnaia fight back? Amid all this, Fabio Quartararo emerges in the warm-up: here’s how it went, the Moto2 permutations, and the Valencia GP schedule.

Moreira vs Gonzalez for the Moto2 crown

The Italtrans Brazilian has the chance to become his country’s first-ever world champion, not just in the class but across the entire Grand Prix motorcycle racing championship. He only needs to avoid finishing outside the top 14, regardless of his rival’s result, and the title would be his. A stellar calling card for his 2026 step up to MotoGP with LCR Honda colors, but we must also look at the other side. The Intact GP Spaniard, 24 points down, has to win—that’s his target—and even that might not be enough; it depends on Moreira: at most he needs to finish 15th at the flag, or better yet outside the points. Today Gonzalez starts 5th on the grid, Moreira will launch from 9th spot.

MotoGP Warm-Up

The final short Sunday-morning session of the season: we’re at the business end and it’s time for the last tweaks ahead of the long race at Valencia’s Circuit Ricardo Tormo. The day doesn’t start well for Enea Bastianini, sidelined by a technical issue on his KTM, while Fabio Quartararo enjoys a small satisfaction, topping this session. Eyes also on the V4 performance of Augusto Fernandez, as well as the presence of Toprak Razgatlioglu, who next Tuesday will begin his serious work aboard Pramac Racing’s Yamaha M1. Here’s how Sunday morning “warm-up” wrapped up: everything is ready for the final races.
