Have you heard the new
Honda engine? 2027 is already very close, and the Golden Wing certainly doesn’t want to be left behind.
We also have the first “cry” of the future from
Honda. Today a short video appeared on the social channels linked to the Japanese manufacturer, but it’s the audio that matters: we now have a first idea of how the
RC-V 2027’s power unit will sound. The MotoGP teams are working on next season, but clearly they must also think about the major revolution planned for the following year. Many things will change, starting with the displacement of the premier class bikes, and there’s no time to lose—work on the present and the future must proceed in parallel to be ready.
Next year will already be very demanding, given the move up from D concessions to C concessions, which greatly limit testing, development, and much more. But
Honda wants to return to its former glory, first closing out the “current era” with the 1000s, then starting from scratch, like everyone else, with the 850cc period. Who knows, maybe even springing a surprise from the very first moment? In the meantime, after hearing the roar of KTM’s new 850cc engine, both in “preview” and in the
latest test carried out by Pol Espargaro, the Golden Wing is delighting enthusiasts’ ears as well.
“The first sound of a new era.” Honda is igniting the future, as mentioned, without forgetting the present and the challenge ahead. In recent days, there’s also news of a partnership with Mizuno for race uniforms starting with the 2026 season—so kicking off very soon. It’s a collaboration that covers an important slice of the racing championships in which the Honda brand is involved: not only MotoGP, but also Formula 1, IMSA, the IndyCar Series, the All-Japan Super Formula Championship, and finally the GT500 class of the SUPER GT Series.
