Bagnaia between tests and the future, the rider hopes to make progress in Valencia, where Ducati will run with special liveries.
Francesco Bagnaia’s 2025 MotoGP season ended very badly. In the Valencia Grand Prix he didn’t score any points and was even overtaken in the standings by Pedro Acosta, finishing fifth. But fourth or fifth makes no difference to a rider who aimed to fight for the title or at least be consistently at the very front in races. Something didn’t work, and today’s test in Valencia could help him and the Ducati team better understand the problems and, above all, how to solve them.

MotoGP, Bagnaia won’t give up and targets a renewal

Pecco did not expect to contest such a complicated 2025 World Championship, but he still believes he can get back to fighting for wins and is banking heavily on the Valencia test to begin a process that should relaunch him in 2026: "It was one of the most difficult seasons," he told Motosan, and perhaps the worst I’ve ever had, especially the last part. I can’t wait to try the bike in the tests. I hope we can find a solution. I’m a dreamer, so I still think and believe it’s possible. Let’s see if we can get off to a good start in the February tests."
Speaking about the future, Bagnaia dismissed those who think he’d like to leave Ducati to join another MotoGP team in 2027: "I want to continue with Ducati. They gave me the chance and the opportunity to win the title, and I delivered it. We improved the bike and now it’s a bike that everyone can use. My desire is to finish my career with them."

Valencia Test, Ducati with special liveries

With Marc Marquez still out as he recovers from his latest injury, Nicolò Bulega will once again join Bagnaia for the MotoGP test day in Valencia. Ducati has revealed that the two factory team riders will run Desmosedici GPs sporting special liveries.
The Borgo Panigale manufacturer is paying tribute to the arrival of its Centenary (1926–2026) by taking to the track with two liveries that celebrate emblematic chapters of its racing heritage. The first is inspired by the 750 Imola Desmo, which became an icon after the legendary one-two by Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari at the 1972 Imola 200; the second features the colors of the 750 Supersport Desmo, the bike with which Franco Uncini won the Italian 750cc title in 1975.
