Motorcycling welcomes back the Grillini Racing Team: Andrea Grillini’s squad will compete in the 2026 FIM EWC Endurance World Championship.
What happened to the Grillini Racing Team? Well, next year it will make a sensational return to motorcycle racing. Yes, that’s right. The Monegasque outfit led by Andrea Grillini, also known as GSM Racing and with a long history in the Superbike World Championship, will take on the entire 2026 FIM EWC Endurance World Championship season with full support from Kawasaki.

THE RETURN OF GRILLINI RACING

Around this time in 2019, Andrea Grillini announced a difficult farewell to motorcycle racing to pursue new challenges in the world of car racing. After trying his luck over the past five years in Lamborghini Super Trofeo and Fanatec GT World Challenge, the Bologna-born manager has decided to return to his first love: two wheels.

ON THE GRID FOR THE FIM EWC

“A natural comeback for a team that has been a protagonist for over 20 years in motorcycling in Italy and abroad, 10 of which spent in the Superbike World Championship,” explains Andrea Grillini. With his renowned team, he will contest the entire 2026 FIM EWC Endurance World Championship, starting with the 24 Hours of Le Mans scheduled for the weekend of April 18–19. They will do so with Kawasaki, already a partner of the Grillini Racing Team during its WSBK days. Project details will be officially revealed on December 12 at the team’s headquarters in Monte Carlo.

ENDURANCE BACKGROUND

For the Grillini Racing Team, this will not be a debut in motorcycle endurance racing. Before the switch to four wheels, in the 2018–2019 season Andrea Grillini fielded a Suzuki entered under the GSM Racing banner. Several riders took turns on the #62 Gixxer set up in EWC configuration, including our own Stefano “Awa” Fugardi, brothers Christian and Federico Napoli, and Andrea Tucci, though without notable results.
