In addition to the misadventures tied to his profession as a MotoGP rider, Martin has just experienced another one in his private life.
Jorge Martin fulfilled a dream by winning the 2024 MotoGP world title and thus being able to use the number 1 on his bike. However, as we know, his 2025 was a year to forget due to various injuries that made him miss most of the Grands Prix and prevented him from showing his true value. Clearly, what happened gives him extra motivation looking ahead to 2026.

The circuit’s private security is reviewing surveillance footage to pinpoint the exact moment the thief stole the bike and to identify the culprit.

At these events, the level of security and control is always high. It all happened during Sunday’s race, but the rider and the team realized it the following day. Obviously, Martin filed a report and hopes the investigation will have a positive outcome, which won’t be easy. In a 2025 already full of problems, another one has been added.
