The endurance world championship is spreading its wings in Italy. FIM EWC promoter Eurosport Events has just signed a broadcast rights agreement with Corsedimoto.com and AutomotoTV.1
Dì la tua!
The three-year broadcast agreement with Corsedimoto.com will give FIM EWC races greater visibility in Italy. The motorcycle racing website Corsedimoto.com, a partner of Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, has announced two viewing options for the FIM EWC: online, on the website, and via its own partner AutomotoTV, a dedicated motorsports channel included in the Sky TV package.
AutomotoTV has scheduled 40 hours of programming this year. The channel will air race highlights after each race, plus the ‘All Access’ segment and a special feature devoted to the Italian teams and riders. Corsedimoto.com will put together 5-minute race analysis videos, and its EWC specialist Alessio Piana will continue to report on the championship on the website.
François Ribeiro, Head of Eurosport Events – “Italy is a great country for Grand Prix motorcycle racing, and we are thrilled to have Italian riders giving endurance a try. The broadcast agreement with Corsedimoto.com and AutomotoTV will round off Eurosport’s own broadcasts to give fans comprehensive championship coverage. It’s good news that specialized media outlets like Corsedimoto.com/AutomotoTV are helping Eurosport Events to promote the EWC in a major market like Italy.”
Paolo Gozzi, Editor in chief Corsedimoto.com – “Corsedimoto.com is making a strong bet on the FIM Endurance World Championship, a compelling series – and a fast-growing one, thanks to the management of Eurosport Events. More and more Italian riders and teams are taking up this tough and fascinating challenge. If endurance racing were to return to Italy in the near future, it would be a dream come true.”
