BSB Mallory Park Prove Libere 2: Michael Laverty al top

Miglior tempo per il pilota Relentless Suzuki

Nella seconda sessione di prove libere del British Superbike a Mallory Park sale in testa Michael Laverty, pilota del team Relentless Suzuki by TAS vincitore recentemente a Oulton Park della sua prima gara in carriera. L’ex campione nazionale Supersport ha fermato i cronometri sui 56″115, meglio di 1/10 rispetto a Tommy Hill per una doppietta di casa Suzuki dei team TAS e Crescent.

Alle spalle delle due “Gixxer” figura Ryuichi Kiyonari, in risalita con il chiaro obiettivo di conquistare due buoni risultati per la top-6 di campionato, seguito da John Laverty (Buildbase Kawasaki) e Michael Rutter con la sua Ducati, reduce da un sfortunato Tourist Trophy disputato nelle varie categorie con moto Honda anche del team HM Plant (in Superstock, sostituto di Steve Plater).

Risolti i problemi tecnici alla Honda CBR 1000RR di Stuart Easton, 6°, che ha preceduto il sempre più convincente Tommy Bridewell, Joshua Brookes dominatore del British Superstock 1000 a Silverstone, il rientrante Yukio Kagayama e Dan Linfoot.

Non è andato oltre la 13° posizione Andrew Pitt all’esordio nel BSB con la Yamaha ex-Hodgson del team Motorpoint, in buona compagnia: davanti c’è Karl Harris presente una-tantum con la R1 East Coast Racing, alle spalle Chris Walker tornato con la propria Suzuki dopo due gare in Kawasaki sostituendo Simon Andrews, rientrato a Mallory Park con il 20° tempo.

Ritorno in sella anche per James Ellison non ancora nella miglior forma possibile, tanto da conseguire il 21° tempo nelle seconde prove libere.
